The assignment in 2023 was HORRENDOUS. You were given an engine that you weren't allowed to modify, and asked to do things that the engine can't do. IIRC the reference solution was "wrapper", which was basically to make another engine. The class spend the 1st half of unit naively postulating about implementations which won't ever work and making massive diagrams for them. And the 2nd half wasting time trying to find arcane solutions. Tutors were pretty useless and later bamboozled the class into using "Singleton hashmap" everywhere. However looking at SETU, it seems 2023 was particularly bad, the year before and after were fine.

This unit tends to be a very team dependant unit. I'd suggest teaming up with claude or ChatGPT. Assignments are based off of engine code that cant be modified but isn't too hard to understand.
